- [COVID-19] School Temporary Closure: Postponed Japanese Classes & all other events
First, we hope you, your family and everyone is well.
We have been following the news about COVID-19 and closely monitoring the advice of the Ontario government, particularly since the closure of public schools. The situation has become increasingly serious. We originally hoped that we could mitigate the situation by shifting to distance learning. With a lot of hard work, we successfully started online lessons for group and private students yesterday. I am proud of the work our talented teachers and staff members did on this project.
However, because of the risk, I am not comfortable asking our teachers to come to Aitas any more for preparing and teaching online lessons. As a result, we have taken the difficult decision to close our school for two weeks from today March 17th until April 5th. we believe this is the best option for our students, our teachers, and our staff.
When the school reopens after two weeks, we will extend your course by the same period, so you will get all the classes that you have paid for.
We recognize this step will cause inconvenience to you. We apologize for this and sincerely hope that you understand this decision. During the school closure, we will send an update when more information is available. In the meantime, if you have any questions, you can reach us anytime at japanese@aitas.ca. We ask that you email rather than calling and please understand that the response period may be longer than usual.
Thank you for your continued support.
Take care and good health to you and everyone.
My best regards,
