2003
Kyoko Saita establishes Aitas Japanese Language school in Toronto, Canada
Aitas offers beginner classes for Canadian adults
An original textbook for the beginner level is developed
2004
Aitas holds a workshop on the Aitas Immersion Teaching Method for Canadian English teachers
Aitas starts a training program for Japanese people who want to become Japanese language instructors
Aitas sends two students to the beginner category of a Japanese speech contest in Ontario
As a part of language study, Aitas introduces a 'Culture Class' to introduce the Japanese culture to learners
2005
Aitas starts the Aitas Japanese Conversation Club for international exchange
Aitas launches the 'Students' Journal', which is issued at the end of every term to share students' essays
The first Aitas Newsletter is issued and sent out
Aitas sends 4 students to a Japanese speech contest in Ontario
Aitas offers a preparation course for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test)
2006
Aitas holds a workshop on Aitas Immersion Teaching Method for Canadian English teachers
Aitas starts travel support services for travelers to Japan
Aitas starts assistant services for study‐abroad in Japan
2007
Aitas is certified as an educational institution approved by HRSDC
Aitas distributes a bound book to students with 9 tips containing the educational theory of Aitas
Aitas launches a members‐only community website and Japanese guide for Torontonians
Aitas offers a correspondence course called the 'Home Learning Program'
Aitas creates students' names in Kanji according to their sounds
The total number of students at Aitas reaches over 500
2008
Aitas Japanese Conversation Club is broadcasted on Rogers TV
The number of Japanese volunteers at the Conversation Club reaches over 300
Aitas holds a workshop on Aitas Immersion Teaching Method for Canadian English teachers
Some Aitas students were invited to a social gathering by a research group from the Labour Union of Toyota Motor Corporation
2009
Original workbooks for all levels are developed
Aitas launches an intermediate course (Level 8) for Aitas members
Aitas creates "School Comic" to introduce a unique learning approach in class
Aitas begins Cool Japan Night! watching Japanese TV Show
2010
The number of students at Aitas reaches over 700
Aitas starts Kanji class
Aitas begins a make‐up lesson system for students who miss class
Aitas launches social community websites, Facebook and Twitter
2011
Aitas launches a website specialized in JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test)
Aitas relocated and opened new classrooms at 180 Bloor St. W, Suite 507
Aitas starts Toronto-based language exchange matching website.
JLPT N5 Vocabulary book is developed
Kanji Class I (5 courses) are developed
2012
Aitas expands One-on-one class (Morning, afternoon & evening)
Aitas launches an advanced course (Level 9) for Aitas members
Aitas make a major renewal of its website (aitas.ca)
Kanji Class II is developed
Aitas begins a N3 preparation course for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test)
2013
Aitas starts the Aitas Language Exchange Club
